He is the son of the late actor John Ritter and actress Nancy Morgan, and he grew up in a household where film and television conversation was common. This background gave him early exposure to the craft of acting, and he began pursuing roles as a young adult, aiming to carve out his own path in the industry while carrying forward his family’s entertainment legacy. Growing up around sets and productions, Ritter developed an informal education in performance, discovering how dialogue, timing, and chemistry with fellow actors contribute to a scene. He has spoken in interviews about the influence of his father’s work on his approach to acting, including the importance of professionalism and teamwork on set.
